Unique Hardware ID?

Questions and discussions related to Inforce 6640 Micro SBC

Hi,
Is there anything like a unique hardware ID register on the SOM/Snapdragon820?
We would like to provide a licensing based on the unique ID to our customers. We thought about using the Wifi MAC address but it can be easily re-programmed.
Thanks,

Hi Tamo,

Every board comes with a board serial number(barcode) on the bottom of the board. You can use this for licensing. You could also use adb/fastboot id as it is unique and is a reflection of the UFS Chip ID.

Hope this helps.

That sounds promising. I will look into that.
Thanks!
