Re-routing SPI to UART on the expansion header

Questions and discussions related to Inforce 6501™ development kit

Hello,

This post is intended for IFC6601 Development Kit. Sorry for posting this here but looks like I do not have post access on that board.

I am looking for a way to re-route the BLSP11 pins on the expansion header from SPI to UART. Just wonder if there is any examples or template to change the device tree and/or other parts of the kernel?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Tim,
The Inforce 6601 development kit is now shipping with a redesigned carrier (there is no change in the SoM). Since you specifically mention BSLP11, I would assume that you have this new carrier since the earlier carrier had BLSP3 and BLSP8 available on the expansion header.

Yes, we do have a document that elaborates on how to program the BLSPs. This document is available from Inforce's Techweb repository(https://www.inforcecomputing.com/techweb/) in the 6601 dev kit space. Hope this helps.

Cheers,
