MAC address for Wifi adapter

Questions and discussions related to Inforce 6410

Hi,
we have several IFC6410 boards and we found out that all of them use the same MAC address for their wifi adapters. As a fix, we recompiled the kernel and rebuilt the ath6kl_sdio driver as a module to set the MAC address as a parameter.
We tried following this guide (http://mydragonboard.org/2013/…..-software/), but unfortunately it's only for Android and couldn't get softmac.bin working on Linux.
Here's the kernel configuration we used:

And this is the modules config file where the module parameter is set (put it in /etc/modprobe.d/ath6kl.conf):

Also make sure to remove the previous wlan0 adapter from /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules to make sure the new MAC address doesn't cause udev to create a wlan1 interface.
Cheers.
