Reboot command Odd Behavior

Questions and discussions related to Inforce 6601™ development kit

Hi. After executing a reboot command in linux console, I notice that dev_set_mac_address is not called when the Inforce reboots. I put a printk statement in this code and it only prints when I do a power off/on, but not when I issue a reboot command. Is this expected? Is there a way to get the dev_set_mac_address to be called on reboot?
Thanks,
Kim

Hi Kim,

This is expected behaviour.

Please add the following command to the init script or in rc.local.
ifconfig eth0 hw ether xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx

Best Regards,
Ashwin
